Gauge and Finished Size
- Approximate gauge: 24 sts x 32 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in stockinette in the round on US 3 needles, lightly blocked.
- Finished height: about 10–11″ (25–28 cm) from feet to top of hat when worked at gauge.
Matching gauge will help your bunny look close to the sample and ensures that clothes and accessories fit properly.
Construction Overview
- The bunny is knitted from the feet upward: legs, body, and head are worked as one piece in the round. Arms, ears, and tail are made separately and sewn on later.
- The sweater is knitted top-down in the round with simple colorwork “cookie” motifs around the yoke.
- The pinafore dress is knitted in the round from the hem up, with a small fair-isle band and simple straps.
- The beanie is worked in the round with a chunky pom-pom.
- Shoes, rolling pin, cookie tray, and tiny cookies are separate knits to complete the scene.
Stuff firmly but smoothly to keep the shape crisp while still looking soft and cuddly.

Cookie Tray
Use grey yarn.
Work flat.

Arrange cookies on the tray and sew lightly in place, leaving a few extra cookies loose to place near the bunny’s feet.
Final Assembly and Styling
- Dress the bunny in the cream sweater first, then pull on the pinafore dress so the fair-isle hem sits just above the shoes.
- Put on the brown shoes, shaping them snugly around the feet.
- Place the beanie on the bunny’s head, letting the ears peek out naturally to the front.
- Sew or tack the rolling pin gently into one paw so it looks like the bunny is holding it.
- Position the cookie tray in the other paw or slightly tilted on the wooden surface in front.
- Scatter the extra cookies near the feet for that cozy “fresh from the oven” feel.
Your Cozy Cookie Bunny is now ready for winter baking photoshoots on a wooden table, next to a sofa, or in any real-life corner of your home. The clear stitch definition and snug gauge will let every knit stitch show beautifully in your photos, just like a real handmade product shoot.
