Back finishing
PU sts along each back opening edge with lilac and work the same I-cord edging up both sides; create two button loops near the neck edge by working (yo, k2tog) twice in the I-cord course. Sew on two tiny buttons.
Hem motifs
With red, duplicate-stitch three small strawberries/hearts spaced along the lower skirt front. With dark olive and leaf green, embroider a short vine and tiny leaves touching the motifs.

Lightly stuff; either close fully (for a plush look) or stop with a slit at back as a tiny pouch.
Rnd 13: (k2tog) ×6 – 6, fasten off if closing.
Leaf cap
With leaf green, CO 12 sts flat. Work (k3, turn, p back, k4) repeatedly across to form 4–5 points; BO. Wrap around berry top; leave a small back opening as a flap.
Strap
With lilac, I-cord 2 sts to ~9–10 in (23–25 cm). Stitch to leaf cap edges so the bag hangs to the bunny’s left hip.
Seeds
Scatter cream duplicate stitches on the berry.
Tiny Tennis Racquet Charm
Rim
CO 18 sts lilac, join carefully (tiny ring). Work 2 rnds knit to firm the circle.
Handle
Switch to cream; knit 3-st I-cord for 1.25 in (3 cm).
Wrap lilac several times at the join to suggest the throat. Optionally slide a short piece of floral wire inside the I-cord for stiffness.
Strings: Weave cream threads vertically and horizontally across the ring. Stitch to the waistband center so it dangles at the front.
Sandwich Box & Triangle Sandwich (soft prop)
Box base (cream, firm gauge, flat)
CO 16 sts on smaller needles.
Rows 1–10: garter (k every row) to a rectangle ~1.75 × 2.25 in (4.5 × 5.7 cm).
Pick up around all four edges and knit 3–4 garter ridges upward to make shallow walls. BO neatly. Cut a matching card insert and slip inside before closing final stitches for structure.
Lid
Work a second rectangle slightly larger and add one extra garter ridge; sew along one long side as a hinged lid. Outline edges with a single row of slip-stitch crochet or sewn overcast for the crisp piping seen in the photo.
Triangle sandwich
With cream, knit two right-triangle panels in garter:
CO 12 sts; k 2 rows; then dec 1 st at each edge on RS rows until 2 sts remain; k2tog and fasten off.
Sew the two triangles together around edges, stuffing lightly.
Add pale green duplicate stitches as a thin cucumber stripe and light yellow for cheese between layers. Place sandwich peeking from the open lid.

Mini Lemonade Bottle (prop)
Knit a tiny cylinder in lemonade yellow (stockinette in the round, 12 sts × 12 rnds), top with a short wheat-colored I-cord “cork,” and embroider a faint collar near the top for the bottle shoulder. It stands beside the box just as in the photo.
Shoes: Finishing Details
- Duplicate-stitch a subtle toe cap on each shoe in cream.
- After lacing, tack the bows down with a tiny stitch so they stay neat.
- If you used card soles, slide them in before attaching legs.
Assembly & Styling
- Attach ears with a slight outward splay so they frame the boater.
- Sew arms to the torso just below the neckline, angled forward.
- Fix legs under the body base; check stance on a flat surface before securing.
- Dress bunny; close back with two buttons.
- Add lilac belt I-cord and collar edging if not yet attached.
- Hang the strawberry bag across the body from right shoulder to left hip.
- Sew the racquet charm so it rests at the dress front center.
- Place sandwich box and lemonade bottle at the bunny’s right side for the complete picnic tableau.
Tips for a Real-Photo Finish
- Keep your tension even and firm to mimic the tidy, natural stitch definition in the image.
- Lightly steam-block the dress hem only; avoid over-blocking the bunny so forms remain sculpted.
- When stuffing the head, pinch the snout gently and massage the cheeks to keep the face slender, not round.
- Set the hat low on the forehead so the crown shadow frames the eyes like a real product photo.
