Clothing

Track Jacket (peach with white stripes) – 3.25–3.5 mm

Boxy, hip-length, rolled cuffs; front “zipper” band in white.

Body (worked in the round to armholes)

  1. With peach, ch 64; join without twist (64).
  2. Rnd 1: sc around (64).
  3. Rnd 2: BLO sc around for hem ridge (64).

10–12) sc around (44). Fo and tidy.

Front Zipper Band (white)

  • Turn the jacket so the opening is centered: it’s a pullover-style tube; create a faux front by surface slip-stitching a vertical white band from neckline to hem at center front, then add a short horizontal bar ~1 cm from top to mimic a zipper pull (small chain loop).

Sleeves (make 2, peach)
Pick up 12 sc evenly around each armhole (6 skipped sts + 4 chain + 2 extras).
Rnds 1–6: sc around (12).
Rnd 7: FLO hdc around for a soft rolled cuff look; fo.

Collar
Join peach at neckline; sc 1 round. Next round: FLO hdc around to create a ribbed collar; fo.

Laces (white)

  • ch 28; thread as an “X” through the upper edge of the boot and tie a bow.

Plates & Axles (gray)

Plate strip: ch 8; sc back (7); sew centered under foot lengthwise.
Axles: embroider short horizontal bars (2–3 sl sts) at front and back ends of the plate.

  4. Place helmet over head with ear gaps aligned.
  5. Strap on fanny pack around the waist so the pouch sits front and center.
  6. Slide on wristbands. Put the water bottle near the right hand or stitch to palm with a small tack.
  7. Insert sign stick in the left hand and secure with a stitch.

Finishing & Customization

  • Jacket fit: If you prefer a true open-front jacket, cut the tube at center front and edge both sides with white rows; add a short collar band.
  • Shorts length: Add 1–2 rounds before splitting for legs for a longer inseam.
  • Wheel colors: Arrange wheels in a repeating pastel pattern or two-tone pairs to match your photo vibe.
  • Fanny pack depth: Add 2 extra rows to the pouch height for more volume; keep flap shape the same.
  • Helmet snugness: If loose, run one round of sc dec around the brim; if tight, switch to 3.25 mm for rounds 6–9.
  • Safety: Omit any rigid axles/wire for toys intended for young children; embroider eyes instead of using safety eyes.
