Construction Overview
The bunny is worked in pieces—head, ears, body, arms, legs/feet, tail—then sewn. Clothing is fully removable: V-neck sleeveless top, fringe hem shorts, sandals worked directly on the feet for a snug fit. Accessories are quick: wide straw hat, mesh shell bag, notebook, glass jar with cork, mini shovel, and hand towel. Pose with the bag on the shoulder, shovel in one hand, and jar or guide book in the other.

Dressing & Final Assembly
- Slip shorts on first; adjust fringe evenly around hems.
- Put on the V-neck top; make sure the V sits centered.
- Fit sandals by tacking straps to the feet with a couple of hidden stitches if the doll will be handled.
- Place the straw hat low and slightly forward; one tiny tack stitch through an ear base keeps it in place.
- Hang the mesh bag cross-body. Add the notebook and jar so they peek out.
- Place the shovel in the right hand. The towel can be draped over the left wrist or tucked into the bag.
Finishing Touches & Customization
- Ear pose: For perkier ears, add a tiny tack at the inner base; for droopier ears, steam lightly and curve them outward.
- Top texture: To mimic linen, alternate rows of [sc, ch 1, sk 1] (linen stitch) on the body panels but keep neck/arm edges in plain sc.
- Shorts fit: If your gauge is tight, add +4 to the foundation chain; if loose, remove –4. Keep the FLO round for the fringe placement.
- Sandals security: Add a small ankle chain (ch 10, sl st to opposite side) if the toy will be gifted to a child.
- Hat band: Add a slim mint or sea-green surface slip-stitch band around rnd 8 for a coastal pop.
- Shells: Quick spiral shell—ch 8, 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 2 sc in each ch to end; roll and stitch.
- Safety: Avoid wire in accessories for children under 3; embroider eyes instead of using safety eyes if needed.
