Construction Overview

Clothing and accessories are independent pieces: chef hat, ribbed sweater with short button placket, houndstooth trousers, striped apron with ties, oven mitts, cross-body ladle bag + i-cord ladle, brown clogs, and two roasting trays with food. Follow the color placement to match the photo exactly.

Cross-Body Ladle Bag + Ladle (gray)

Pouch

Bowl: pick up 6 sts at working end; knit in the round, kfb around (12); k 2 rnds; k2tog around (6). Stuff lightly and draw closed, leaving the bowl side open toward the front. Stitch the other end of the handle into the pouch so the ladle dangles.

With CC9 gray, CO 20 sts.
Rows 1–10: st st.
Border lip: pick up and knit around all four sides; work 2 garter rows; BO. Lightly pad the base with a wisp of stuffing and tack the lip at corners so it reads as a shallow tray.

Roast Joint

CO 10 flat in orange; Row 1 k; Row 2 k2tog at both ends; repeat dec rows every RS until 2 sts; k2tog; embroider diagonal lines; add a tiny green tuft.

Green Beans (a bunch)
Work several 2-st i-cords of varying short lengths in green.

Arrange the roast joint, potatoes, beans, and carrots inside the trays; tack with a couple of hidden stitches so they stay put.

Assembly

  1. If needed, lightly block clothing pieces only (avoid steaming stuffed body).
  2. Attach ears to top of head, slight outward tilt so the chef hat sits in front.
  3. Sew arms at shoulder level angled forward—right hand can hover near a tray; left carries the bag/ladle.
  4. Sew tail to back.
  5. Dress in trousers, then sweater (button the short placket).
  6. Tie on apron with a neat bow centered at waist; neck straps sit straight.
  7. Put on clogs.
  8. Slide on oven mitts (both hands orange, as shown).
  9. Fit chef hat so the band sits just above eyes and the puff crowns high.
  10. Wear cross-body bag from left shoulder to right hip; let the ladle hang by the side.
  11. Place one roasting tray in the right hand (tack to mitt if displaying); set the second tray at the bunny’s feet for styling.

Finishing & Customization

  • Keep stuffing firm at the head and hips for a stable stance.
  • For a photo-perfect look, add two tiny sewn buttons to the sweater placket.
  • Swap apron colors (sage/cream or mustard/cream) while keeping vertical stripes to stay on theme.
  • If gifting to a child, embroider eyes and avoid wire; secure all accessories firmly.
  • A tiny gray gravy boat can be placed beside the trays (prop only, not knit) to match the kitchen scene vibe.
