Introduction

Say hello to the Spring Florist Sheep—a soft, pastel amigurumi with a cream puff-sleeve blouse, leaf-green pinafore skirt with pocket, white sneakers with tiny daisies, a floppy sun hat tied with a coral ribbon, and a mesh flower tote packed with tulips and florist tools. The pattern below is engineered to match the photo precisely—form, stitch textures, color blocks, and accessory placement—so your result looks exactly the same.

Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

Materials

  • Yarn (DK / Light #3, cotton or cotton-blend, matte):
    1. Wooly body & head (soft white/cream) – A ~80 g
    2. Face/hooves (warm beige) – A2 ~35 g
    3. Blouse (cream, same tone as A but smoother yarn) – C ~35 g
    4. Pinafore skirt & hat band leaf accents (leaf green) – G ~40 g
    5. Sneakers & tote base (white) – W ~35 g
    6. Ribbon & accents (coral) – R ~15 g
    7. Daisy petals (white) – D scraps; Daisy centers (butter yellow) – Y scraps
    8. Tulips: petals pink, peach, yellow; stems leaf green – small scraps
  • Hooks: 2.5 mm for amigurumi; 3.0 mm for clothes/accessories.
  • Safety eyes: 8 mm black ×2.
  • Stuffing: polyester fiberfill.
  • Notions: yarn needle, stitch markers, scissors, 6–8 mm wood buttons ×2 (pinafore straps), thin floral wire (optional for hat brim and tulip stems), small snap for tote top (optional).
  • Cardboard (thin) for sneaker insoles (optional).

Abbreviations (US Terms)

  • MR magic ring
  • ch chain
  • sl st slip stitch
  • sc single crochet
  • hdc half double crochet
  • dc double crochet
  • tr treble crochet
  • inc increase (2 sc in same stitch)

Gauge & Finished Size

  • Amigurumi gauge (2.5 mm, sc in the round): ~22 sts × 24 rnds = 10 cm/4″.
  • Clothing gauge (3.0 mm, sc/hdc): ~20 sts × 22 rows = 10 cm/4″.
  • Finished size: 24–25 cm tall to hat crown; sitting height ~17 cm.

Step 1 — Visual Analysis & Proportion Map (for perfect matching)

  • Head & Body: classic amigurumi proportion, head height ≈ body height (about 1:1).
  • Fleece texture: loop-stitch “wool” covers head top & back and creates short “cuffs” at blouse wrists. Face, inner ears, and limbs are smooth (A2).
  • Eyes: set between Head Rnds 12–13, 8–9 sts apart.
  • Snout: small oval; nose embroidered soft brown/pink centered at Rnd 15–16.
  • Ears: rounded, unstuffed half-ovals, attached symmetrically across Rnds 5–7.
  • Arms: join at Body Rnd 22; hands rest at skirt pocket height.
  • Legs: short cylinders; sneakers add height and sit flat.
  • Outfit placement: pinafore waistband aligns with Body Rnds 12–13; straps cross at back; skirt hem mid-thigh; daisies embroidered on sneaker toes.
  • Hat: soft floppy brim, coral ribbon tied at wearer’s left side.
  • Tote: open mesh rectangle with solid base; tulip stems peek out ~2–3 cm above rim.
