Knitting Tutorial: The Rain Lily Bunny

Welcome to the tutorial for The Rain Lily Bunny, a charming character designed to bring a splash of joy to even the grayest of days. Inspired by the resilience and beauty of the Rain Lily flower which blooms after a storm, this bunny is dressed in a soft, romantic palette of baby pink and light gray. She wears a stunning baby pink dress with a skirt constructed to resemble the petals of a flower, offering a whimsical, bell-like silhouette. To protect her from the imaginary drizzle, she dons a chic light gray capelet, loosely knitted for a drape that mimics a lightweight raincoat, and a classic pink sou’wester hat. Her outfit is completed with practical gray flats.

No rainy day walk is complete without the right gear, so she carries a miniature pink and white striped umbrella. Hiding safely beneath it is her little friend, a small green frog seeking shelter. Creating this heirloom-quality doll is a wonderful investment of your time. If you were to buy a finished art doll of this complexity on platforms like Etsy, the price could range from $85 to $150 USD depending on the detailing. However, the estimated cost to make this yourself is only around $20 to $30 USD in materials. You can purchase excellent DK weight yarns and needles from online retailers like Amazon, LoveCrafts, or your local yarn shop. When you buy your own supplies, you ensure the quality and color match perfectly, creating a treasure that money simply cannot buy off a shelf.

Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.
