This sweet puppy features soft cream-colored fur and long, floppy ears that frame her kind face. She is dressed in a romantic, pastoral ensemble perfect for tending her flock. Her outfit begins with a voluminous Pink Gown, worn over vintage-style white lace bloomers that peek out from underneath. To give her silhouette that classic fairytale look, she wears a Pale Blue Corset bodice with delicate lace-up detailing on the front. Her head is protected from the sun by a magnificent wide-brimmed Bonnet, tied securely under her chin and adorned with handmade roses.
She walks the hills in sensible black ballet flats. In her hand, she carries a traditional Shepherd’s Crook to guide her friends, and a small posy of wildflowers. Her constant companion is a tiny, fluffy White Lamb, textured to perfection. This pattern is designed for intermediate crocheters who love detailed costumes and creating scenes.

Gauge & Finished Size
Work tightly in continuous spiral rounds for the puppy body so the stuffing does not show. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook, the finished puppy stands approximately 28 cm (11 inches) tall. The clothing layers are integrated or removable depending on your preference (this pattern uses a mix for stability).
Construction Overview
The puppy is constructed in pieces. The legs are made first, starting with the black shoes, transitioning to white socks/bloomers, and joined to form the body. The pink dress base is worked directly onto the body, while the blue corset is a separate piece layered on top. The head is round with a sewn-on snout and floppy ears. The bonnet is a separate accessory. The shepherd’s crook uses wire for shape. The lamb is a miniature textured friend.
