This adorable lamb features a coat of fluffy, textured white wool that contrasts beautifully with her smooth face. She is a fashion icon in the barnyard, sporting a classic “Breton” striped dress in bold black and white horizontal lines, a staple of French fashion. To add a pop of vibrant color, she wears a bright red beret tilted stylishly to the side and a matching red silk-style scarf tied in a jaunty knot at her neck.
Her feet are clad in sensible black loafers, perfect for walking on cobblestone streets. No trip to the bakery is complete without the goods: she carries a brown paper tote bag containing a long, crusty baguette, and in her hand, she holds a buttery, golden croissant. Accompanying her on her morning errand is a proud, colorful Rooster with a curved tail, adding a touch of farm charm to the scene. This pattern is designed for intermediate crocheters who love creating textured amigurumi and detailed, themed accessories.

Gauge & Finished Size
Work tightly in continuous spiral rounds for the sheep body so the stuffing does not show. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook, the finished sheep stands approximately 28 cm (11 inches) tall. The clothing is designed to be removable, allowing for dress-up play. The accessories are miniature and require fine motor skills to assemble.
Construction Overview
The sheep is constructed in pieces. The head begins with a smooth face and transitions into a textured “woolly” cap using Bobble stitches. The body is fully textured to simulate a thick fleece. The legs are made separately and joined. The Breton dress is worked in rounds with color changes for the stripes. The beret and scarf are separate accessories. The baguette, croissant, and rooster are detailed miniatures.
