Welcome to the most fragrant corner of the miniature world! The “Hyacinth” Perfume House is a sensory delight, inspired by the intoxicating scent and unique curly structure of spring hyacinths. This project creates a whimsical caravan that looks like a blooming flower garden on wheels. The exterior features a romantic palette of Pastel Purple (Lavender) and Light Pink, topped with a roof that mimics the dense, curly texture of a hyacinth bloom.
Open the door to reveal a high-end perfumery and greenhouse. The interior is maximalist and detailed, filled with pots of blooming hyacinths growing from round bulbs. Some are planted in terracotta, while others sit in glass hydroponic jars with their delicate white roots visible. The shelves are lined with tiny, exquisite perfume bottles topped with gold nozzles, and delicate lace handkerchiefs lie ready to be spritzed. Outside, a gentle Lop-eared Bunny holds a precious flower bulb, standing next to a handcart overflowing with colorful spring blooms. This project is a test of your micro-crochet skills and your love for pastel aesthetics.
This project relies on structural integrity. To ensure the caravan walls can support the heavy, textured roof and the shelves remain level for the tiny bottles, we will strictly use the “3-Layer Sandwich Method” (Yarn – Plastic Canvas – Yarn). This technique is mandatory to create the rigid, box-like form that gives the piece its professional finish.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

Part 1: The Perfume House Structure (Sandwich Method)
Use Hook Size: 2.5mm
1. The Pink Floor Base
Make 2 identical panels using Light Pink yarn.
- Row 1: Ch 26. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. (25)
- Row 2-40: Sc across. (Rectangle approx 4″ x 6.5″).
- Fasten off Panel 1. Keep yarn attached to Panel 2.
Assembly: Cut plastic canvas to the exact size. Sandwich it between the two pink panels. Sc around the perimeter through both layers to seal.
2. The Lavender Shell (U-Shaped)
This forms the Left Wall, Roof, and Right Wall. The roof will get a special texture overlay later.
Panel A: Exterior (Lavender)
- Row 1: Ch 91 (Length to cover Left Wall + Roof + Right Wall). Sc across. (90)
- Row 2-35: Sc across.
- Window Cutouts: On the side wall sections, create arched window openings (Ch 10, Sk 10). The arch shape fits the romantic theme.
- Fasten off.
Panel B: Interior (Pink or White)
- Use Light Pink or White to keep the interior bright for the perfume display. Match dimensions and window gaps of Panel A.
Assembly:
- Cut plastic canvas strip (with window holes).
- Sandwich canvas between Panel A and Panel B.

- Base: Ch to match the roof width. Sc across.
- The Curly Texture:
Row 1: Sc across.
Row 2: *Sc 1, Curly Loop St (Sc, Ch 6, Sl st in same st)* repeat across.
Row 3: Sc across.
Row 4: Repeat Row 2.This creates a dense, rug-like texture of curly loops that resembles the florets of a hyacinth flower.
- Assembly: Sew this textured blanket onto the exterior roof of the caravan. It should look fluffy and voluminous.

Part 2: The Hyacinth Garden (Interior)
IMPORTANT: Switch to 1.0mm – 1.25mm Hook. The flowers must be detailed.
1. The Hyacinth Plant
Make 5-6 plants in Purple, Pink, and Blue.
- The Bulb: Beige/Brown. MR 6 sc, Inc to 12, Sc 2 rounds, Dec to 6. Stuff firmly. (Round ball).
- The Stem: Green. Ch 15 (around a wire). Sc back down. Insert into the bulb.
- The Flowers (Florets): Use colored yarn.
Method: Work directly onto the stem or make a chain to wrap around it.
Floret Pattern: *(Ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc, sl st)*. Make these “curls” densely along the top half of the stem. They should curl tightly to look like hyacinth bells.
- Leaves: Green. Ch 12. Hdc along the chain. Make 3-4 leaves rising from the base of the bulb.
2. Hydroponic Glass Jars
- Jar: Ice Blue or White (very thin yarn). MR 5 sc, Inc to 10. BLO Sc up for 6 rounds. (Cylinder).

- Body: MR 6 sc, Inc to 12, Sc 4 rounds. Dec to 6. Sew to head.

2. The Flower Handcart
Use 2.5mm Hook.

Final Assembly
- Structural Check: Ensure the Lavender shell is rigid. The “Curly” roof adds significant thickness, so ensure the walls are sturdy enough (3-layer sandwich) to hold it up.
- Interior Curation:
- Glue the Shelves to the back wall. Arrange the Perfume Bottles and Handkerchiefs carefully.
- Place the Hydroponic Jars on the shelves or a small table.
- Arrange the Potted Hyacinths on the floor, grouping them by color.
- Exterior Scene:
- Park the Handcart next to the caravan.
- Position the Lop-eared Bunny near the door, holding its bulb.
- Add a small umbrella (Pink canopy, wire handle) leaning against the cart.
Congratulations! You have constructed “The Hyacinth” Perfume House. It is a sweet-smelling, curly-textured delight that brings the essence of spring to your crochet collection.
