Welcome to a winter wonderland on wheels! The “Christmas Year-Round” Caravan is a festive masterpiece designed to keep the holiday spirit alive in every season. This charming mobile home features a vibrant Santa Red exterior topped with a thick, textured roof of snowy white “icing.” The exterior is adorned with classic holiday wreaths made of evergreen yarn and holly berries, welcoming guests with traditional cheer.
The interior is a cozy explosion of Christmas joy. The focal point is a grand brick fireplace, roaring with a faux fire and hung with tiny red and green stockings waiting for St. Nick. To the right, a majestic Christmas tree sparkles with ornaments and a golden star, surrounded by a massive pile of wrapped gifts in red and green hues. Two cozy green ottomans offer a place to sit near a small wooden table, where a plate of cookies and a glass of milk have been left out for Santa. This project is the ultimate holiday display piece.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

Part 1: The Holiday Structure (Sandwich Method)
Use Hook Size: 2.5mm
1. The Wood Floor Base
Make 2 identical panels using Dark Brown yarn.
- Row 1: Ch 26. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. (25)
- Row 2-40: Sc across. (Rectangle approx 4″ x 6.5″).
- Fasten off Panel 1. Keep yarn attached to Panel 2.
Assembly: Cut plastic canvas to the exact size of the crochet piece. Sandwich it between the two brown panels. Sc around the perimeter through both layers to seal. This creates a rigid floor that can support the heavy fireplace and tree.
2. The Santa Red Shell (U-Shaped)
This forms the Left Wall, Roof (base), and Right Wall.
Panel A: Exterior (Red)
- Row 1: Ch 91 (Length to cover Left Side + Roof + Right Side). Sc across. (90)
- Row 2-35: Sc across.
- Window Cutouts: On the side wall sections, create rectangular window openings (Ch 10, Sk 10).
- Fasten off.
Panel B: Interior (Beige or White)
- Use a neutral color to make the interior decorations pop. Match dimensions and window gaps of Panel A.
Assembly:
- Cut plastic canvas strip (with window holes).
- Sandwich canvas between Panel A and Panel B.
- Join: Sc around the perimeter through both layers using Red yarn. Sc inside the window frames.
- Shape: Bend into a U-shape arch. Sew the bottom edges to the Floor Base.
- Back Wall: Create a solid Red sandwich panel to close the back of the caravan.
3. The Snowy Roof Overlay
Use Snow White yarn.
- Base: Ch to match the width of the roof. Sc across.
- Texture Rows: Work rows of Sc, but every 4th stitch, work a Bobble Stitch or (Hdc, Dc, Hdc) in one stitch to create a lumpy, snowy texture.
- The Dripping Edge: The snow needs to look like it is melting over the sides. Crochet the panel slightly wider than the roof. On the front and back edges, work *Sc, Ch 3, Sk 1, Dc, Ch 3, Sl st* to create irregular icicle shapes.
- Assembly: Sew or glue this white blanket onto the top of the Red exterior.
