Gauge & Finished Size

• Gauge: Approximately 26 sts = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch.
• Work tightly to create a firm fabric that holds stuffing well.

Construction Overview

• Bunny: Worked in the round from the feet up. The light blue shoes are integrated into the leg construction. Legs are joined to form the body and head.
• Dress: Worked from the bottom up in the round. The skirt features scattered bobbles (popcorns) in cream to look like hydrangea petals.
• Bolero: Worked flat from the neck down (raglan style).
• Hat: Worked in the round from the crown down to a wide brim.
• Accessories: Watering can and snail are knitted as separate miniature pieces.

Bunny Body & Head

Legs (Make 2)

Start with Pastel Blue yarn for the Mary Jane shoes.

CO 10 sts on DPNs. Join in the round.

Rnd 1: kfb around (20 sts).

Rnd 2: *(k1, kfb)* rep around (30 sts).

Rnds 3–7: k all (Shoe base).

Rnd 8 (Shape Toe): k10, (k2tog) 5 times, k10 (25 sts).

Arms (Make 2)

Ears (Make 2)

Outer Ear (Make 2 in Oatmeal): CO 12 sts. Work flat in St st for 30 rows. Dec 1 st at each end every other row until 4 sts rem. BO.

Inner Ear (Make 2 in Pastel Blue): Work same as Outer Ear.

Assembly: Sew one Inner and one Outer ear together with WS facing. Sew to the top of the head.

Shoe Straps

With Pastel Blue, pick up 4 sts on the outer side of the shoe opening. Knit a strip to cross the foot. Sew to the inner side. Sew a tiny button for decoration.

Hydrangea Popcorn Dress

Worked in the round. You can either knit the bobbles in Cream as you go (intarsia method is tricky in round, so carrying the yarn loosely or using duplicate stitch after is recommended. Pattern below assumes texture; use Cream yarn for bobbles if desired).

With Pastel Blue, CO 60 sts.

Rnds 1–3: Garter Stitch (p 1 rnd, k 1 rnd) for hem.

Skirt Pattern:

Rnds 4–6: k all.

Rnd 7: *k5, MB (in Cream or Blue), k4* rep around.

Rnds 8–10: k all.

Rnd 11: *k10, MB, k9* rep around (staggered).

Repeat these rows to scatter “petals” up the skirt.

Waist:

With Creamy White, CO 28 sts.

Row 1: k2, p to last 2, k2.

Row 2 (Inc): k2 (border), k4 (front), m1, k1 (rag), m1, k4 (sleeve), m1, k1 (rag), m1, k8 (back), m1, k1 (rag), m1, k4 (sleeve), m1, k1 (rag), m1, k4 (front), k2.

Row 3: p all.

Repeat Rows 2–3 (working increases) until sleeve sections have 14 sts.

Divide: Knit Front, place Sleeve sts on holder, Knit Back, place Sleeve sts on holder, Knit Front.

Body: Work 1 inch in stockinette. Work 3 rows Garter Stitch. BO.

Sleeves: Pick up sleeve sts. Knit 1 inch. Work 3 rows Garter Stitch. BO.

Sew a single button at the top neck edge.

Wide-Brimmed Sun Hat

With Creamy White, CO 40 sts. Join in round.

Rnds 1–8: k all (Crown).

Rnd 9: *(k6, k2tog)* rep around (35 sts).

Rnd 10: *(k5, k2tog)* rep around (30 sts).

Decrease until 6 sts rem. Close top.

Brim: Pick up 40 sts around the cast-on edge.

Rnds 2–8: Garter Stitch (p 1 rnd, k 1 rnd) for a structured brim.

Tiny Snail

Shell: With Light Pink yarn, CO 3 sts. Work I-cord for 4 inches. Coil tightly into a spiral and stitch in place.

Body: With Soft Beige, CO 4 sts (I-cord). Work 2 inches. Bend front up for head. Sew shell to back.

Antennae: Tie tiny knots of beige yarn on the head.

Assembly

• Weave in all ends neatly.
• Dress the bunny in the blue popcorn dress.
• Put on the cream bolero jacket, buttoning it at the top.
• Place the sun hat on the head.
• Position the watering can near the bunny’s hand (tack it in place if desired).
• Place the tiny snail by the bunny’s feet.
