The “Hot Cocoa Mug” Bunny – Free Knitting Pattern

Her wardrobe is designed for maximum coziness, featuring a classic winter palette of Chocolate Brown, Creamy Marshmallow, and Burgundy Red. She wears a traditional Burgundy and Blue Tartan Dress, a pattern that instantly evokes holiday heritage and warmth. To keep out the chill, she layers a thick, Chunky Cream Cable Cardigan over her dress. Her head is kept toasty by a playful Chocolate Brown Beanie topped with two adorable white pom-poms. On her feet, she wears sturdy Brown Ankle Boots trimmed with soft white fur.

Her accessory is the centerpiece of the season: a giant Red Mug filled to the brim with rich cocoa and topped with fluffy white marshmallows. Joining her for this sweet treat is a friendly Red Squirrel, clutching his own winter prize—an acorn.

Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

  • Tartan Dress: Worked flat. To achieve the plaid effect without messy intarsia, we knit horizontal stripes and then use duplicate stitch (embroidery) for the vertical lines after knitting.
  • Cable Cardigan: Worked flat with a simple cable texture to look thick and warm.
  • Double Pom-Pom Hat: Worked in the round with earflaps.
  • Hot Cocoa Mug: A structured cylinder with a “liquid” insert and bobble marshmallows.
