Her design is centered around a delightful Pastel Mix palette, featuring soft Baby Pink, Sky Blue, and Buttercream Yellow, all grounded by pristine White. She is dressed in a spectacular Tiered Party Dress, where each layer of the skirt introduces a new pastel shade, creating a rainbow cake effect. To keep her warm when the sun goes behind a cloud, she wears a crisp White Bolero Jacket. Her outfit is topped with a charming Multi-Colored Sun Hat that perfectly matches her dress, and she steps out in sweet Pink Mary Janes.
But the true showstopper is her accessory: a precarious, teetering Stack of Three Teacups. These knitted cups are stacked high, defying gravity with the help of a little internal structure. Peeking out from the very top cup is a tiny, curious Grey Mouse, the guest of honor at this tea party.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

Gauge & Finished Size

- Finished Size: Approximately 14 inches (36 cm) tall from shoes to the top of the hat.
Construction Overview
- Bunny: Worked in the round from the feet up. Legs are knitted separately, then joined to form the hips. The body and head are one continuous piece. Arms and ears are knitted separately and sewn on.
- Tiered Dress: Worked flat. The skirt is constructed in three distinct tiers. We start with the bottom tier, decrease, join the next color, increase for volume, and repeat. This creates the ruffled “layer cake” look.
- Bolero: A simple, short-sleeved shrug worked in one piece to the armholes.
- Teacup Stack: Three separate cups are knitted. A wire structure runs through them to keep them upright and slightly tilted.

The Whimsical Accessories
The Stack of Teacups

Rim: Purl 1 round. Knit 1 round. BO.
Handle: CO 3 sts. Knit I-cord for 1.5 inches. Sew to side.
Assembly & Stacking:
1. Cut circles of cardboard to fit inside the bottom of each cup for flatness.
2. Take a sturdy craft wire or a thin wooden dowel.
3. Poke the wire through the center of the Blue cup (bottom). Stuff the cup firmly.
4. Poke the wire through the base of the Yellow cup and slide it down so it sits inside the rim of the Blue cup. You can angle it slightly for that “Alice in Wonderland” wobbly look. Sew them together where they touch. Stuff the Yellow cup.
5. Repeat with the Pink cup on top.
6. Secure the wire at the top (bend it into a loop and hide it inside the stuffing of the top cup).
The Tea Party Mouse
With Grey yarn.
Head: CO 6 sts. Inc to 12. Knit 4 rounds. Dec to 6. Stuff. Close.
Ears: Pick up 3 sts. Knit 2 rows Garter. BO.
Paws (Make 2): CO 3 sts. I-cord for 0.5 inch.
Assembly: Sew the head and paws to the inside rim of the top (Pink) teacup, so it looks like the mouse is peering over the edge.
Final Assembly
- Face: Embroider bright, curious eyes. Use pink thread for a nose.
- Dressing: Put on the tiered dress. Put on the bolero. Put on the pink shoes. Place the striped hat on the head.
- Props: Place the stack of teacups next to the bunny. Because of the wire, it should stand upright, but you may need to tack it to the bunny’s hand for extra stability.
Your “Stack of Teacups” Bunny is ready for the party! Happy knitting.
