Every 4th rnd: inc 6 sts evenly (m1L/m1R) until 108 sts and skirt measures 3.75”/9.5 cm from underarm.

Work garter hem (k 1 rnd, p 1 rnd) × 3.

Rolling Pin (prop)
If using a toothpick/dowel as a core:
Handles (A, US 3): CO 6 sts in the round, k 4 rnds; k2tog around – 3; k 2 rnds; break yarn. Make two and slide onto ends of a short dowel.
Barrel Sleeve (A): CO 16 sts, knit flat 10 rows, BO; wrap the center of the dowel and sew closed.
If no dowel: knit a tight i-cord 4 sts × 2.5”/6.5 cm for the barrel; stuff lightly, then sew on the two handles.
Assembly
- Arms: sew just below the neck so hands angle forward—right hand gently holds the rolling pin; left hand slips under the basket handle.
- Ears: attach with a soft outward roll; place symmetrically.
- Dress: pull on from feet; align waistband eyelets at center front; smooth gathers evenly.
- Shoes: pop on and secure strap; let cream sock peaks show.
- Bonnet: seat the back snug to head curve; tie a small bow under chin.
- Basket & Props: arrange baguette, roll, and macarons visible at the top. If displaying permanently, tack a few stitches to the hand and basket rim for stability. Place spare baguette on the table at the bunny’s right as in the photo.
Finishing & Blocking
- Body: do not steam the stuffed bunny. Shape by hand; pinch cheeks lightly while the stuffing settles.
- Dress: light steam to settle the skirt flare and keep the sage hem flat; avoid crushing the waistband texture.
- Bonnet: steam the rib band so it hugs the face and let the ties curl naturally.
- Shoes: steam the straps and soles to sit flat; re-form the toe curve if needed.
- Basket & Breads: a quick puff of steam sets the wicker texture; let dry fully before staging.
Safety & Care
For children under three, embroider eyes and secure small accessories permanently (basket contents, rolling pin). Spot clean with cool water and mild soap; air-dry away from heat and direct sun.
