Intro
Make a sweet amigurumi bunny set for a pastel picnic: cream bunny, mint-gingham dress, sunny butter-cardigan with tiny buttons, cream Mary Jane shoes, wide-brim strawy hat, cross-body camera, daisy bouquet, mini picnic basket with croissant & grapes, mint water bottle, and a folded gingham napkin.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.
Materials
- Yarn (Worsted/Category 4, cotton or matte acrylic for crisp stitches):
- A. Cream (bunny + shoes + hat) ~180 g
- B. Butter yellow (cardigan) ~60 g
- C. Mint (dress + bottle sleeve details) ~50 g
- D. Pale pink (nose/blush) small amount
- E. Light taupe/linen (basket & croissant) ~30 g
- F. Dark grape purple (grapes) small amount
- G. Black (camera details) small amount
- Hook: 3.25 mm (D/3) for amigurumi; 3.5 mm (E/4) for cardigan & dress hem if you crochet tightly
- 12 mm safety eyes (1 pair)
- Stuffing: polyester fiberfill
- Tapestry needle, stitch markers, pins
- Buttons: three 7–8 mm round “wood” buttons for cardigan
- Thin floral wire (optional) for bouquet stems (wrap in yarn)
- Cardboard ovals (2× 4.2 cm) for shoe soles (optional)
- Fabric scrap mint gingham for napkin (or crochet variant below)
Finished height: ~11.5–12.5 in (29–32 cm) standing.
Gauge: not critical; fabric should be dense so stuffing doesn’t peek. My gauge is ~8–9 sc × 8–9 rnds = 2 in.
Abbreviations (US)
- MR – magic ring
- ch – chain
- sc – single crochet
- hdc – half double crochet
- dc – double crochet
- sl st – slip stitch
- inc – increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
- dec – invisible decrease

- [ … ] – repeat the sequence inside the brackets
- ( … ) – stitch count at the end of the round/row
Notes:
- Work in continuous rounds unless otherwise stated.
- Use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch of each round.
Notes for Accuracy
- The head is a large rounded cube/oval, eyes wide set; snout is tiny and embroidered.
- Ears are long, slightly folded at the base.
- Torso is softly bell-shaped to support a standing stance inside the dress.
- Arms lightly stuffed through the palms only for drape.
- Shoes are Mary Janes with oval soles and open strap.
- Hat is a wide, soft brim with subtle crown.
- Accessories are intentionally simple to keep the handmade look of a real crochet scene.

Assembly Order
- Dress the bunny before attaching shoes permanently.
- Put on the cardigan; sew buttons if desired.
- Add the hat—tack the back two points to the head so it tilts slightly downward like in the photo.
- Drape the camera strap cross-body (left shoulder to right hip).
- Place bouquet in the right hand and picnic basket near the feet; bottle and napkin on the table beside for styling.
- Steam-block the dress hem and hat brim for the natural, real-photo curl.
Finishing Touches & Styling
- Use a tiny bit of soft pastel (or blush yarn) to tint the cheeks.
- For the “gingham” skirt to read clearly on camera, keep the surface lines subtle and evenly spaced.
- Position ears asymmetric—one slightly ahead of the other—to imitate the natural tilt seen in lifestyle product photos.
- Photograph near a window on a light wooden table with a neutral sofa and a potted plant in the background to match the pastel, natural-light vibe.
