
Intro
Make a sweet Farmer’s Market Mouse set in soft pastels: gray mouse with blush cheeks, butter–yellow Peter Pan–collar blouse with puff sleeves, olive–green pinafore dress, brown Mary Jane shoes, beige sun hat, plus a cream mesh tote filled with carrots and herbs, a tiny rustic scale in slate blue, and a “LOCAL PRODUCE” tag.

Materials
- Yarn (Worsted/Category 4, cotton or matte acrylic for crisp stitches):
- A. Soft gray (mouse) ~150 g

- Hooks: 3.25 mm (D/3) for amigurumi; 3.5 mm (E/4) for clothing/hat/tote
- 12 mm safety eyes (1 pair)
- Stuffing: polyester fiberfill
- Cardboard ovals (2 × ~4.2 cm) for shoe soles (optional)
- Tapestry needle, stitch markers, pins
- Small craft magnet (optional) for tote-to-hand hold
- Fabric glue (optional) for the scale dial
Finished size: ~28–30 cm (11–12 in) tall.

Notes
- Work in continuous rounds unless noted.

Proportions & Assembly Notes
The head is a rounded oval with wide-set eyes; the muzzle is tiny and embroidered. Ears are large and cupped. Body is a steady cylinder tapering at the waist to fit the pinafore. Shoes are rounded Mary Janes with visible socks. The sun hat has a floppy brim. Mesh tote is cream with a beige rim and filled with three carrots.

Neckband:
- Ch 33, join to ring (32).

Puff sleeves (both sides):
- Join yarn to any st; Row 1: sc 10 over ~8 sts, join (10).
- Row 2: inc around (20).
- Rows 3–4: sc around (20).
- Row 5: [sc, dec] ×6, sc 2 (14).

Lightly stuff sleeve caps for volume.
Collar (worked flat, continuous around neckband):
Join yarn at center back of neckband.

Row 4: sc 28, FO.
Waist trim: with C, surface-sl st along the seam between bodice and skirt to mimic the raised waist seam visible in the photo.
Straps: attach at front corners; ch 18 each; cross in back and sew to top edge. Straps should sit neatly over the blouse sleeves.
Hem touch: with B, surface-sc a delicate line at the very bottom edge (optional) to echo the butter-yellow peeking from the blouse.
Cream Mesh Tote (Yarn F for mesh; D for rim/handle, 3.5 mm)
Base (oval):
- With D, ch 8; sc 6, 3 sc in last; rotate, sc 5, inc (16)
- inc, sc 5, inc ×3, sc 5, inc ×2 (22)
- sc around (22), sl st.
Mesh body:
Switch to F.
4. ch 4, skip 1 st, sc in next around (approx 11–12 arches), join.
5–7. ch 4, sc into the chain space around to build mesh height.
Switch to D.
8. Work 1 rnd sc evenly around the top, placing 2 sc in each chain space.
9. Handle: ch 30, skip 6 sts, sc; continue around to other side, ch 30, skip 6, sc; sc around again to thicken handles. FO.
Carrots (make 3):
- Root (G orange): MR 4, [sc, inc] ×2 (6); work 3 rnds sc; [sc, dec] ×2 (4); stuff lightly; sl st and FO.
- Leaves (G green): ch 5, sl st back; make 3–4 fronds; sew to top of root.
Tack carrots inside the tote. Add a small herb sprig by chaining 8 with green and adding tiny picots.
Attachment tip: sew a single invisible stitch through the mouse palm and tote handle or use a hidden magnet pair.

Base:

Dial:

- Ch 6; Row1: sc 5.
2–4. ch1, turn, sc 5 to make a small rectangle.
Shape the top by dec, sc, dec (3).
Edge with sl st.
Punch/crochet a tiny eyelet (ch 2, sl st to same spot).
With J, embroider LOCAL PRODUCE in two lines. Tie to the scale or place beside the mouse.
Head–Body Assembly
- Pin the head onto the body opening; ladder stitch closed with Yarn A.
- Sew ears securely.
- Position arms; stitch firmly so the right hand can support the tote.
- Slide socks and shoes on; tack at the back of the ankles.
- Dress mouse with the blouse first, then the pinafore.
- Place the sun hat slightly tilted forward and tack at two points so it keeps its angle.
Finishing & Styling
- Steam-block the pinafore hem and hat brim for soft curves.
- Add a tiny hint of pastel blush to the cheeks for the photographed look.
- Arrange the mesh tote so the carrots peek through—this is the key “aww” moment.
- Set the scale and tag near the mouse’s right foot for the full farmer’s market vignette.
Care
Spot clean only. If you used cardboard soles or a magnet, avoid soaking. Reshape the hat while damp and lay flat to dry.
