The outfit includes: floral dress with duplicate-stitch flowers (to match the exact pastel scatter), blue scalloped hem, sage bolero, mint ballet flats with crossed ties, straw hat with daisy band, drawstring mint pouch, wicker basket (i-cord coil) with flowers, two butterflies (appliqués), and a parasol with knit lace edging. All proportions, textures, and placements mirror the photo.

Dress with Floral Sprigs & Blue Scalloped Hem
Notes: The dress has a pale mint-white ground with scattered simple tulips and leaves in CC4. To perfectly match the print-like look, work the body plain and add duplicate stitch flowers after knitting. The hem is a sky-blue scallop with little white buds.

Rnd E–F: k 2 rnds even.
BO loosely. Steam-block the hem to pop the scallops.
Flower Sprigs (duplicate stitch, CC4 + green)
On the skirt, place vertical green stems 10–12 sts tall, spaced evenly around, then add small tulip heads in pink, yellow, lilac, and cornflower. Keep them a little offset between rows so the garden looks scattered like the photo. Add a tiny flower belt: over the natural waist, duplicate-stitch a creamy strip with a single 5-petal flower (white with yellow center) at front center.
Sage Bolero
Worked flat, raglan-style; cropped to just under the bust, open front, short sleeves.
Back

Finishing
Join shoulders, set sleeves if worked flat; seam sides 1″ under arm to keep bolero open. Work a garter front/neck edging: pick up around fronts and neck with 2.75 mm needles, k 4 rows; BO. The edges sit soft and curve as in the photo.

Rnds 10–12: k.
Brim
Rnd 13: k6, kfb around (64).
Rnd 14: k7, kfb around (72).
Rnd 15–18: k (wide floppy brim).
Rnd 19: p 1 rnd (subtle ridge near edge).
Rnd 20–21: k; BO loosely.
Daisy Band
Using CC2, knit a 3-st i-cord long enough to circle the crown; sew ends. For daisies, make 5 small petals in white: CO 8, k1, turn, sl1, k7 tbl; BO, curl into a petal; make two per flower; stitch with yellow French-knot centers. Place two daisies at the left side of hat as in the photo.
Pendant
Either sew on a tiny charm to a short chain or embroider a small gold motif (three stacked leaves) at chest center. Keep it small so it sits inside the neckline.

Strap: 3-st i-cord in tan 38 rows; sew to pouch and place over right shoulder so the pouch rests at left hip.
📌Thank you for reading the article.
Wicker Flower Basket
Basket Body (tan or straw blend)
Work a long i-cord (3 sts) about 34–36″ (86–92 cm). Coil the cord into an oval base 1.4″ (3.5 cm) wide, stitching as you go, then build walls by stacking the coil upward for ~1.6″ (4 cm) height.
Handle: i-cord 14 rows; arch and stitch to sides. Fill with small silk/paper blossoms or tiny knit daisies.
Butterflies (two)
Wings (make 4 per butterfly, pale biscuit + tan edge)
CO 6 sts in pale beige.
Row 1: k.
Row 2: kfb, k4, kfb (8).
Row 3: k.
Row 4: kfb, k6, kfb (10).
Row 5: k.
Row 6: ssk, k6, k2tog (8).
Row 7: k.
Row 8: ssk, k4, k2tog (6). BO.
Whipstitch two wings together (bigger top, smaller bottom) at their tips. Wrap brown yarn tightly between wings to form the body and leave small ends for antennae (or add wire).
Placement: sew the small butterfly to the basket rim; sew the larger butterfly to the forearm above the smaller one so they sit exactly as in the image.
Parasol with Knit Lace Edge
Shaft & Canopy
Use a thin white rod (6–6.5″ / 15–16.5 cm). Cut a circle of sheer fabric ~4.25″ (10.8 cm) diameter and poke the rod through center; glue/hot-melt a tiny bead at tip.
Lace Edge (CC5)
CO a strip long enough to edge the circle (~14–15″).
Row A: (yo, k2tog, k1) repeat to end.
Row B: purl.
Row C: (k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k1) repeat for a scalloped look.
BO softly. Stitch lace around canopy edge. Wrap a tiny white band near the handle for the grip.
Assembly
- Block garment pieces lightly (avoid heavy steam on stuffed body).
- Sew ears to head under where hat brim will sit; angle slightly forward.
- Attach arms at shoulder round, slight forward angle so right hand holds parasol upright.
- Sew tail at back.
- Dress bunny: floral dress first, then bolero, then shoes with cross ties.
- Place belt flower (duplicate stitch) at center waist if you haven’t already.
- Put on sun hat tilted gently to the left.
- Drape pouch cross-body from right shoulder to left hip.
- Put basket in left hand; secure with tiny stitches to paw if displaying.
- Add butterflies (one small on the basket rim, one larger perched on the forearm just above).
- Place parasol in right hand; tack handle to paw and to dress at one spot for stability.
- Add pendant at center chest.
Finishing & Customization
- Keep stuffing firm in feet/hips for balance; the parasol adds visual height, so weight the base with a coin inside the skirt hem if needed.
- If gifting to a child, embroider features and avoid wires or metal charms; secure all accessories strongly.
- Color shifts that preserve the look: swap mint for pale aqua, keep sage bolero + blue scallops + straw hat constant for the garden vibe.
- Flowers: duplicate-stitch density is key—space sprigs in even columns around the skirt and sprinkle tulip colors to match the photo’s rhythm.
- For extra realism, lightly brush the hat brim with a toothbrush to soften the straw texture.
