    4. C (Pinafore): denim blue, 55 g
    5. D (Shoes): warm brown, 30 g
    6. E (Hat straw): wheat, 35 g

    8. G (Sunflower): soft yellow + brown center, small amounts
    9. H (Basket): golden straw, 20 g

Construction Overview

The sheep is worked in separate pieces: head (smooth face with “wool cap” bobbles), ears, body, arms, legs/feet, tiny tail; then sewn. Clothing is removable: blouse (top-down), pinafore (worked flat then seamed; daisies added after), hat in spiral with band and sunflower. Assembly

  4. Legs: Sew to underside so feet are parallel and the doll stands balanced.
  5. Tail: Sew low center back.
  6. Dress the Sheep: Slide on blouse (opening at back), then pull pinafore up over it. Cross straps at the back and secure.
  7. Hat: Place low and slightly forward. Add one hidden stitch if the toy will be handled.
  8. Props: Hang basket from left hand; place the watering can in right hand with a guiding stitch through the handle. Set gloves and napkin on the table scene.

Finishing & Customization

  • Daisy count: Add or remove appliqués to match your taste—use 7–9 for the look shown.
  • Hat brim: Lightly steam and shape the outer curve; avoid heavy blocking that flattens the straw texture.
