Introduction

Meet the Columbia Road Florist Bunny—a pastel, garden-loving rabbit posed by a window on a wooden table. She wears a sage wrap top with ties, terracotta culottes embroidered with tiny tulips at the hems, cream ballet flats with crossed i-cord straps, and a sage bucket hat trimmed with knit ranunculus blooms. Her lattice market satchel hangs crossbody, and she’s surrounded by a knit seedling tray, string of twine, plant mister, and a small tulip bouquet in her paw.

Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

Form & Proportion Analysis (Read Before Knitting)

Assembly & Dressing

Blocking & Prep

  • Light steam wrap top hems, hat brim, and culotte hems for clean edges.
  • Shape ear lean and bouquet curve while warm.
  • Duplicate-stitch tulips after blocking so shapes stay crisp.

Attach Features

  1. Ears high and slightly back; tips leaning forward.
  2. Arms at shoulder taper, allowing wrap sleeve to sit cleanly.
  3. Tail centered low back.
  4. Face: embroider nose/mouth if not using safety eyes.

Dress the Bunny

  • Pull on culottes first; adjust waistband.
  • Wrap the top left-under/right-over; tie outside bow at side seam.
  • Put on ballet flats; cross and tack straps.
  • Pop on bucket hat with blooms to viewer’s left side.
  • Sling the lattice satchel from right shoulder to left hip.
  • Place bouquet in right paw (a tiny hidden stitch secures it). Arrange mister, seedling tray, and twine roll on the table for the styled scene.

Troubleshooting (Exact Look Match)

  • Head too tall/skinny: Add 1–2 plain rounds before cheek shaping; stuff lower head more firmly.
  • Ears flop backward: Stitch a tiny anchor to the hat band or add a hidden tack at the back of each ear.
  • Wrap top rides up: Lengthen body by 2 rows before armholes or loosen i-cord ties.
  • Culottes too loose: Work waistband rib on a size smaller needle or add a drawstring i-cord.
  • Shoes slipping: Shorten strap i-cords by 0.5–1 cm or add a tiny tack at the heel.
  • Hat brim wavy: Re-steam and pin flat to dry; if needed, add one extra garter round.
