Assembly & Dressing
- Attach ears to the crown ~1.2 in (3 cm) apart with slight inward lean.
- Sew arms just below the neck seam; angle right forearm forward to hold the clapperboard; left forearm up to support the boom handle.
- Attach legs with a small outward splay; sew tail low back.
- Dress in order: tee → trousers (roll cuffs) → loafers → cardigan (close 3 knit buttons) → beanie.
- Add camera bag crossbody; tack the strap at one shoulder if you want it to stay put.
- Secure clapperboard in right hand and boom mic in left; set the film reel and script in front for display.
Color Map (match the photo)
- Body, tee, socks: oatmeal/cream
- Beanie, trousers, bag, boom handle, clapperboard, reel: charcoal/dark gray
- Cardigan: teal with camel/brown knit buttons
- Loafers: warm-brown uppers with darker soles
- Clapperboard accents: white stripes/letters
- Boom head: mid-gray
- Script title: red
Blocking & Styling Tips
- Steam the cardigan bands to lie flat and sharpen the V-neck.
- Shape the beanie brim evenly; let it cool before moving.
- Roll both trouser cuffs to the same height; a tiny hidden tack at the back seam keeps them from unrolling.
- For photos, place near a window over a light wooden table; set the reel and script slightly forward for depth.
Fit Tweaks
- If your gauge runs loose, stop the head increases at 48 sts (omit Rnd 11) and remove one belly decrease round to keep proportions balanced.
- Shoes snug? Work uppers on US 5 or skip one toe-decrease repeat.
- Want a longer cardigan? Add two stockinette rows before the hem rib.
- Prefer a slouchier beanie? Add 2–3 plain rounds before crown shaping.
