Introduction

Crochet a Bubble-Tea Barista Bunny: a beige amigurumi bunny in mint overalls with a bobble-dot bib pocket, a caramel-and-cream striped tee, cream lace-up sneakers (not boots), and a mint visor. Accessories include a mint crossbody pouch, a crocheted bubble-tea cup with black “pearls,” a small glass-like tip jar with coins, and a tiny order slip. The piece is designed to sit or stand for display on a wooden table in a cozy, pastel home setting. This pattern uses US terms and works mostly in continuous rounds.

Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

Materials

  • Yarn, worsted/aran #4 cotton or cotton blend:
    1. A: Light beige (head/body/ears/arms/legs)
    2. B: Mint (overalls, visor, pouch)
    3. C: Cream (sneakers, tee stripes 1, tea “foam” lid)
    4. D: Caramel/apricot (tee stripes 2)
    5. E: Black (boba pearls, eyes accent if embroidering)
    6. F: Light sage/pale aqua (straw)
    7. G: Very light gray (glass rim for jar; optional)
    8. H: Gold or yellow (coins)
  • Hook 3.25–3.5 mm (US D/E). Choose the size that gives you a tight fabric.
  • Safety eyes 10 mm (pair).
  • Tapestry needle, stitch markers, fiberfill stuffing.
  • Clear small jar or crochet the jar—this pattern includes a crochet version.
  • Thin plastic circle (optional) to support the tea cup base.
  • Small piece of card (for order slip core).
  • Fabric glue (optional) for securing tiny appliqués.

Finished Size & Gauge

  • Finished height: ~9.5–10.5 in (24–27 cm) standing; ears down.
  • Gauge in sc worked in the round, lightly blocked: ~18 sts × 20 rows = 4 in/10 cm. Keep stitches firm so stuffing doesn’t show.

Tip Jar & Coins

R1: MR, 6 sc (6)
R2: inc around (12)
R3: [sc, inc]×6 (18)

Coins (H): MR, 6 hdc; join and fasten off. Make 2–3 and place inside; embroider “TIP” on a small felt/crochet rectangle and glue to jar.

Order Slip

Cut a 2.5 × 3.5 cm card. Cover both sides with a single layer of C sc fabric (or ch 9, sc 6 rows), then surface-stitch tiny boxes and lines in F/D to mimic a checklist.

Assembly & Positioning (match image)

  1. Arms: pin to upper sides of torso so hands rest slightly forward. Sew securely.
  2. Legs: attach low and slightly apart so the bunny can stand with support or sit. Ensure shoe toes face outward a touch.
  3. Overalls & Tee: dress the bunny; align bib centered under chin; cross straps in back and button to bib.
  4. Visor: place with seam at back; brim centered and curved downward.
  5. Pouch: cross strap over right shoulder so bag sits at left hip.
  6. Bubble-tea: stitch to right hand at two points (grip and rim) for stability.
  7. Tip jar & slip: stage on table near left foot for the photo-ready scene.

Face Details

  • After head assembly, refine nose triangle with 2–3 passes of thread; add a micro highlight on each eye (one stitch of white).
  • Optional blush with powder or fabric paint.

Optional Wired Ears (for subtle posing)

Before closing ear base, insert a short U-shaped chenille stem; wrap ends and secure so no wire pokes out. Sew ears low, just beneath visor band.

Safety & Care

  • For children under 3, embroider eyes instead of safety eyes.
  • Spot clean with mild soap; air dry. Avoid pressing acrylic yarn directly with a hot iron—steam-block at a distance.
