Introduction

Meet the Picnic Patch Bunny—a soft-spoken amigurumi rabbit in a mint-gingham pinafore, ruffled blouse, sunhat with a blush-pink band, Mary Jane shoes, and a tiny crossbody “wicker” basket (plus a cookie for snack time!). The toy sits neatly and looks adorable on a pastel picnic cloth.

Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

Materials Needed

  • Yarn (DK/Light Worsted, cotton or cotton blend):
    1. Cream (Body, blouse, socks) – 60–70 g
    2. Mint (Pinafore checks) – 20–25 g

Gauge & Finished Size

  • Finished size: Approx. 9.5–10 in (24–25 cm) tall to top of hat; body seated height ~7.5 in (19 cm).

Pattern Notes

  • Work amigurumi parts in continuous rounds unless noted; use a marker to track first stitch.
  • Stuff firmly but evenly; shape as you go.
  • Colorwork gingham on the pinafore uses simple tapestry crochet with short floats; carry the unused color loosely.
  • Pieces are designed to be removable (blouse, pinafore, hat, shoes, bag).
  • Keep strands tidy on the wrong side—this helps garments slide on/off cleanly.
