The instructions below reproduce the photographed sample exactly with counted rounds, placements, and finishing so your result matches 1:1.

Assembly

  1. Ears → Head: Place ear bases slightly behind crown center, inner bases ~14 sts apart. Angle 10–15° down toward cheeks; sew.
  2. Head → Body: Ladder-stitch closed head opening to body top; place a tiny stuffing wedge under the front neck to lift chin slightly.
  3. Arms: Sew at body Rnds 27–28 (counting from bottom), symmetric; mild forward tilt.
  4. Legs: Sew to base so soles sit flat when seated; inner ankles about 6 sts apart.
  5. Tail: Centered on back, 3 rnds above leg seam.
  6. Dress order: Skirt → Cardigan (button) → Flats → Beret.
  7. Bag: Strap across right shoulder to left hip; add one hidden tack at shoulder seam and one at hip so strap lies flat.

Exact Placement Map (for photo match)

  • Eyes: between Head Rnds 13–14, spacing 10 sts center-to-center.
  • Nose: centered across Rnds 15–16, width 3–4 sts; mouth vertical 2–3 mm.
  • Ears: inner bases 14 sts apart; set back ~6 sts from head top centerline.
  • Arms: attach across Body Rnds 27–28; tips reach just over skirt waistband.
  • Legs: inner ankles 6 sts apart; feet parallel for seated balance.
  • Skirt: waistband sits just below cardigan hem; total drop 7.5–8.5 cm.
  • Cardigan: cropped length ~7 cm from shoulder; 3 buttons evenly spaced; pockets centered 6 sts from each front edge.
  • Beret: brim band rests just above eye line; crown slouches slightly to one side.
  • Bag: body ≈ 5.5 cm W × 4.5 cm H; strap 28–30 cm (relaxed diagonal).

Finishing Touches & Tips

  • Blocking: Light steam only (hold iron above fabric). Shape beret crown and skirt flare with palms; do not over-block the body.
  • Stability: If seated pose slips, stitch a small felt patch under flats or add a coin inside each sole.
  • Neat seed stitch: Keep tension even; when picking up front bands, PU 3 sts for every 4 rows to avoid ruffling.
  • Scallop hem: Picot BO gives the delicate scallops; if you prefer deeper scallops, use CO 3, BO 5 repeat.
  • Photo styling: Tilt head a few degrees; let bag face camera slightly; place a tiny “teacake paper” (felt) inside box for story detail.

Safety & Use

For decor/collectible or for children 3+ (small parts: buttons/eyes). For baby-safe versions, substitute embroidered eyes and sewn-down details.

  • Skirt: rose-tea
  • Cardigan: clotted-cream (seed stitch)
  • Beret: raspberry
