Assembly

Build the Puppy

  1. Head ↔ Body: ladder-stitch the head centered on body opening; keep the neckline neat for tee.
  2. Arms: sew to body between Rnds 8–9 from top, angled slightly forward.
  3. Legs: ensure parallel stance; stitch body base to hip ring so legs sit flat.
  4. Tail: attach centered low back.

Dress the Outfit (exact look)

  1. Put on jogger shorts first.
  2. Slide on socks, then sew shoes to feet; add laces.
  3. Pull on pleated skirt; it should sit over shorts. Tack at one side seam to keep facing forward.
  4. Dress the raglan tee; align mint neckband snugly; place two mint buttons on chest.
  5. Fit the backwards cap so the brim is at the back; align ear slits with ears; tack lightly.
  6. Sling the checkerboard bag from left shoulder to right hip (strap across chest at a diagonal).
  7. Optional: place the skateboard under the front foot and the ramp behind for the display shot.

Finishing Touches / QC

  • Symmetry: confirm eyes are level and 11 sts apart; ears begin slightly behind the eye line and hang forward evenly.
  • Shoe details: white toe cap edge crisp; one embroidered dot “eyelet” above the other on each side.
  • Skirt pleats: finger-press along FP/BP ridges to keep vertical folds.
  • Bag strap length: adjust chain length before fastening so bag sits at right hip.
  • Photo match: tee body white; sleeves royal-blue; neckline mint; skirt neon-lime; shorts sky-blue; cap mint; shoes black with white cap & foxing; socks white with thin mint/sky-blue stripes.

Pattern Notes

  • Work amigurumi pieces in tight sc spirals; always pm the first stitch of the round.
  • Stuff gradually and firmly, especially head and shoes.
  • Invisible decrease (dec) keeps the fabric smooth.
  • Where color changes occur, carry yarn neatly on the inside or use separate balls to avoid bulk.
  • If your gauge is looser and the head finishes larger, add 1–2 body rounds to keep proportions.
