She is dressed in a breathtaking ombre ruffle dress that transitions from a soft blush pink at the bodice to a deep, rich magenta at the hem, mimicking the petals of a blooming rose. To keep her warm while she stitches, she wears a vintage-inspired lacy shawl draped over her shoulders. Her head is adorned with a statement accessory: a headband featuring a large, voluminous blue Hydrangea flower. On her feet, she wears delicate pink ballet slippers laced up with ribbons. She is always prepared for her work with a pincushion-style drawstring bag, a pair of fabric scissors, and a tiny ladybug friend who has landed on her dress for good luck. This pattern is an intermediate project that results in a stunning heirloom-quality doll.

Gauge & Finished Size
Work tightly in continuous spiral rounds for the mouse body so the stuffing does not show. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook, the finished mouse stands approximately 26–28 cm (10–11 inches) tall. The dress is removable, and the ruffles are worked directly onto the skirt base.
Construction Overview
The mouse is constructed in the standard amigurumi style. The head features a pointed snout and large, round ears sewn on separately. The legs and body are worked as one piece. The dress is the showstopper: it is worked from the waist up for the bodice and waist down for the skirt foundation. The ombre ruffles are then attached to the front loops of the skirt foundation. The shawl is worked in rows of lace stitches. The hydrangea is a cluster of small flowers.
