Gauge & Finished Size
- Approx. 30 sts x 40 rows = 4 in (10 cm) in stockinette in the round.
- Bunny height: about 9–10 in (23–25 cm) standing, without hat.
A firm gauge keeps stuffing from showing and makes the stitches look clear and realistic.
Notes & Construction Overview
- The bunny is worked from the feet up in one piece: legs → body → neck → head.
- Arms, ears, tail, clothes, hat, bag, mug, marshmallows, and cookies are made separately and sewn on.
- Stuff gradually as you go, shaping the curves with your fingers to keep the silhouette smooth.
- Color names in the instructions refer to the palette listed above.

Assembly
- Ears – Pin ears on top sides of the head, slightly behind the eyes so they fall gently at the sides. Sew securely, folding the base a bit to create the soft curve.
- Arms – Position arms at the shoulders, just below the neck. Sew the flattened tops to the body, checking they hang evenly.
- Tail – Stitch the tail to the back, centered low on the body.
- Dress & Cowl – Put the dress on from the feet up, close the back. Slide the cream cowl over the head and down so it sits snugly between head and dress neckline.
- Jacket – Put the jacket on over the dress, easing arms through the sleeves.
- Socks & Slippers – Pull each sock cuff over the lower leg and sew in place. Fit the slippers onto the feet and tack them under the soles so they stay in position.
- Hat – Place the beanie so it rests just above the eyes. You can secure it with a couple of small stitches if you prefer it fixed.
- Hot Chocolate Bag & Mug – Slip the bag handle over one arm so it sits in the paw; sew a couple of hidden stitches so it stays put. Arrange the mug and cookies at the bunny’s feet or on a little tray, tacking them lightly if this is for display rather than play. Sew a few marshmallows sticking out of the bag and on the mug.
Finishing Touches
Weave in all ends neatly on the inside of pieces. Gently massage the stuffing to even out the shape and keep the silhouette round and cozy. If needed, lightly steam-block only the clothing and hat to relax edges and sharpen the fair isle pattern, keeping steam away from safety eyes.
Your Winter Chocolate Chalet Bunny is ready to stand by the fireplace with her mug of hot chocolate, soft pastel tones, and clearly defined knit stitches, perfect for winter décor, photos, or gifting.
