Mint Cardigan Assembly & Fit Check
Slip cardigan on from the sleeves first, then body. Button the three buttons so the fronts meet evenly with ~2–3 mm overlap. Sleeve cuffs should end just at the wrist bump, hem right above the dress waist.
Final Assembly & Styling
- Sew arms to body at the shoulder line so hands reach the dress side seams.
- Place shoes on feet and secure straps.
- Dress lamb: slide on dress from feet up, rotate so the dots are centered; the hem should sit below knee.
- Put on cardigan and button.
- Place hat slightly back on the head so ears peek out below the brim.
- Sling cassette crossbody from right shoulder to left hip; bag rests at hip level.
- Slip the crochet ticket into the left hand with a few tack stitches or a tiny thread loop so it looks “held.”
Face & Finishing Touches
- For a soft blush, lightly brush a hint of dry cosmetic blush onto cheeks.
- Secure any knots inside the head/body.
- Steam-block only clothing and accessories from a distance to relax stitches; do not steam the stuffed body.
Troubleshooting
- Topples forward: Add a small washer/plastic coin inside each shoe sole before stuffing, or a pinch of pellets enclosed in a scrap of fabric.
- Cardigan too snug/loose: Adjust foundation chain by ±4 sts, keeping even counts at armhole split.
- Dress rides up: Add a thin elastic thread through the waistline or one rnd of BLO sc to grip body fabric.
- Hat brim curls oddly: Re-steam and pin while drying; if needed, add one more rnd with (7 sc, inc) ×6 to widen.
