June Bride Bunny – Free Crochet Pattern

Celebrate love and timeless elegance with the “June Bride” Bunny. This exquisite heirloom-quality pattern features a gentle light brown bunny with long, expressive ears, dressed for her special day. She wears a breathtaking pristine white wedding dress featuring a voluminous princess-style skirt adorned with delicate 3D floral embroidery. Her bridal look is completed with a floor-length mesh veil attached to a floral crown, and she wears sophisticated white heels with pearl details.




No bride is complete without her accessories: she carries a mixed bouquet of elegant Calla Lilies and classic white roses. Beside her sits a miniature ring pillow edged in gold, holding the symbols of forever. This pattern is perfect for wedding gifts, bridal shower centerpieces, or as a cherished collectible for doll lovers.

Materials

  • DK or Sport weight yarn in: Light Brown/Beige (Bunny), White (Dress, Veil, Shoes, Flowers), Green (Stems/Leaves), Gold/Mustard (Pillow trim, Ring), Yellow (Calla Lily center).
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook (for the bunny and accessories)
  • 3.0 mm crochet hook (for the dress and veil)
  • 10mm Black Safety Eyes
  • Dark Brown embroidery thread (Nose)
  • Pearl beads (for shoes and dress center flowers)
  • Fiberfill stuffing
  • Yarn needle, embroidery needle
  • Pins, scissors
  • Optional: Tulle fabric if you prefer a fabric veil, though a crochet pattern is provided.

Gauge & Finished Size

The finished June Bride Bunny stands approximately 28–30 cm (11–12 inches) tall. The gauge for the bunny body should be tight to ensure stuffing doesn’t show. The dress is worked with a slightly looser tension to allow the skirt to drape beautifully.

Use Light Brown yarn and 2.5 mm hook.

Insert safety eyes between Rnds 18 and 19, spaced 10 stitches apart. Embroider a simple “Y” nose with dark brown thread. Stuff firmly. FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Use Light Brown yarn.

  • Rnd 5–12: sc around (24)

  • Rnd 20–28: sc around (16)

Do not stuff. Flatten the ears and sew the opening closed. Sew to the top of the head.

Legs & Body

Legs (Make 2)

Start with White yarn (Shoes).

  • Rnd 1: Ch 6, start in 2nd ch. 4 sc, 3 sc in last. Rotate: 3 sc, inc (12)
  • Rnd 2: inc, 3 sc, 3 inc, 3 sc, 2 inc (18)
  • Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc, 4 sc, (1 sc, inc) x 3, 4 sc, (1 sc, inc) x 2 (24)
  • Rnd 4: BLO sc around (24)
  • Rnd 5–7: sc around (24)
  • Rnd 8: 6 sc, 6 dec, 6 sc (18)

  • Change to Light Brown yarn (Skin).

Stuff firmly. FO first leg. Do not cut yarn on second leg. Ch 4, join to first leg.

Body

Continue with Light Brown yarn.

  • Rnd 25: 12 sc on first leg, 4 sc on chain, 12 sc on second leg, 4 sc on other side of chain (32)

  • Rnd 27–34: sc around (34)

Stuff firmly. FO. Sew head to neck.
Shoe Detail: Sew a small pearl bead to the front of each white shoe.

Arms (Make 2)

Use Light Brown yarn.

  • Rnd 1: MR, 6 sc (6)
  • Rnd 2: (1 sc, inc) repeat around (9)
  • Rnd 3–15: sc around (9)

Stuff lightly. Flatten top and sc closed. Sew to shoulders.

The Wedding Dress

Use White yarn and 3.0 mm hook. Worked top-down.

Bodice

  • Row 1: Ch 28. Sc in 2nd ch and across (27). Turn.
  • Row 2: (2 sc, inc) repeat across (36). Turn.
  • Row 3: (Armholes) 5 sc, ch 6, skip 7, 12 sc, ch 6, skip 7, 5 sc. Turn.
  • Row 4: sc across all sts and chains (34). Turn.
  • Row 5–8: sc across (34).

Princess Skirt

Join ends with sl st to work in rounds.

  • Rnd 9: Ch 2, dc inc in every st around (68).
  • Rnd 10: (1 dc, inc) repeat around (102).
  • Rnd 11–20: dc around (102).
  • Rnd 21: (2 dc, inc) repeat around (136). (Creates the wide bell shape).
  • Rnd 22–28: dc around (136).
  • Rnd 29 (Hem): *skip 2 sts, 7 dc in next st, skip 2 sts, sc in next* repeat around (Shell edging). FO.

3D Floral Embroidery

Use White yarn and a tapestry needle. Randomly embroider flowers onto the lower half of the skirt.

  • Method 1 (Bullion Knot): Wrap yarn around needle 5-7 times, insert into fabric, pull through to create a rosebud.
  • Method 2 (Lazy Daisy): Create loops for leaves and petals.
  • Center: Sew tiny pearl beads in the center of the embroidered flowers for texture.

Bridal Accessories

Veil & Floral Headband

Use White yarn.

  • Headband: Ch 60 (measure around head), sl st to join. Sc around.
  • Veil Mesh: Attach yarn to the back half of the headband (approx 20 sts).
  • Row 1: *Ch 5, skip 1 st, sc in next* repeat across. Turn.
  • Row 2: *Ch 5, sc in next ch-5 loop* repeat across.
  • Row 3–25: Repeat Row 2 until the veil reaches the floor. FO.
  • Flowers for Band: (Make 5-6). MR, (ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st) x 5. Sew these across the top of the headband.

Bouquet

Calla Lilies (Make 3):

  • Start with White. Ch 10. Sc in 2nd ch, hdc, dc, tr, tr, dc, hdc, sc, sl st in last. Rotate to work on other side: sc, hdc, dc, tr, tr, dc, hdc, sc.
  • Roll the base edges together to form a cone.
  • Stamen: Use Yellow yarn. Ch 6, sc back down. Glue/sew inside the white cone.
  • Stem: Use Green yarn. Ch 15, sc back down. Insert into the base of the flower.

White Roses (Make 3):

  • Ch 15. 3 dc in each ch across. Roll into a spiral and sew base. Attach Green stem.
  • Tie all stems together with a piece of white yarn or ribbon.

Ring Pillow

Use White yarn.

  • Row 1: Ch 11, sc in 2nd ch and across (10).
  • Row 2–10: sc across (10). Make 2 squares.
  • Sew the two squares together, stuffing lightly before closing.
  • Edging: With Gold/Mustard yarn, sc around the perimeter, doing (sc, ch 1, sc) in corners.
  • Rings: Use Gold yarn or thin wire. Form two small loops and stitch to the center of the pillow.

Assembly

  1. Dress: Put the wedding dress on the bunny. Sew the back of the bodice closed or use small buttons.
  2. Veil: Place the floral headband on the head. Arrange the mesh veil so it flows down the back.
  3. Bouquet: Stitch the bouquet to one of the bunny’s hands.
  4. Ring Pillow: Place the ring pillow near the bunny or stitch lightly to the other hand.
