This beautiful bovine features a classic brown and white coat, giving her a grounded, earthy look that contrasts stunningly with her celestial wardrobe. She is dressed in a magnificent “Midnight Blue” gown, reminiscent of the deep night sky, intricately embroidered with shimmering silver stars. Over her dress, she wears a mysterious, sheer black cape that floats around her like a nebula. Perched upon her head is a soft, pointed wizard-style hat in matching blue, adorned with a silver crescent moon charm. She steps quietly through the observatory in elegant silver pointed shoes.
Her accessories are the tools of an astronomer: a handheld telescope for spotting distant planets and a rolled-up star map charting the galaxies. Her faithful companion in the dark hours is a wise little Owl, complete with tiny wire spectacles, ready to help her decipher the mysteries of the universe. This pattern is designed for intermediate crocheters who enjoy embroidery details and creating themed accessory sets.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

Gauge & Finished Size
Work tightly in continuous spiral rounds for the cow body so the stuffing does not show. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook, the finished cow stands approximately 28 cm (11 inches) tall. The hat adds additional height.
Construction Overview
The cow is constructed in pieces. The legs are made first, starting with the silver shoes, and are joined to form the body. The head is a sphere with a color change technique to create the white blaze on the forehead. The dress is worked from the waist down to create a full skirt, which is then embroidered. The cape can be crocheted with a very loose stitch or made from fabric. The hat is a cone shape worked in rounds. The accessories—telescope, map, and owl—are detailed miniatures.
