The Sunflower Bear – Free Crochet Pattern

She is dressed ready to tend to her garden in a sunny yellow and white striped t-shirt worn underneath a unique dark brown pinafore dress. The dress is the centerpiece of her outfit, designed to look like a blooming sunflower with tiered layers of yellow petals forming the skirt. To protect her from the sun, she wears a wide-brimmed raffia-style hat adorned with a large sunflower. Her accessories include mustard yellow sandals, a cute green watering can bag, a tiny packet of sunflower seeds, and a friendly little bee resting on her dress. This pattern is perfect for intermediate crocheters who love creating textured clothing.

Construction Overview

The bear is constructed in pieces: head, body, legs, arms, and ears. The outfit is removable. The t-shirt is worked in rounds from the neck down. The pinafore dress features a dark brown bodice (representing the flower center) and a skirt worked with layers of yellow petals using front loops. The watering can is a 3D accessory. The bee and seed packet are tiny details added last.
