The Tooth Fairy Mouse – Free Crochet Pattern

This delicate white mouse features large, attentive ears lined with soft pink, listening for the wishes of little ones. She is dressed in a spectacular ballerina-style outfit. Her bodice is a soft blush pink, leading into a voluminous, sparkling tutu skirt crocheted to mimic the airy texture of tulle, dusted with silver glitter. On her back, she wears a pair of gossamer-thin white wings, and atop her head sits a tiny golden star crown.

Her feet are adorned with pink ballerina flats featuring ribbon ties that wrap gracefully around her ankles. She carries a magical star wand and a functional “Tooth Pouch”—a small drawstring bag shaped like a molar tooth, perfect for holding a coin or a lost tooth. Lighting her way in the dark is her tiny friend, the glowing yellow Firefly. This pattern is designed for intermediate crocheters who love working with delicate details.

Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

  • Small amount of Brown/Black thread (Eyes, Nose)
  • Pink Satin Ribbon (approx 3mm width) for shoe ties

  • A small wooden skewer or craft wire (for Wand stem)

Gauge & Finished Size

Work tightly in continuous spiral rounds for the mouse body so the stuffing does not show. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook, the finished mouse stands approximately 25 cm (10 inches) tall (excluding the crown). The dress is integrated into the body, but the accessories are removable.

Construction Overview

The mouse is constructed in pieces. The legs are made first and joined to form the body. The dress bodice is crocheted as part of the torso color change. The tutu skirt is worked in surface crochet loops around the waist, using multiple stitches per stitch to create the “tulle” ruffle effect. The head is round with large sewn-on ears. The accessories—the tooth pouch, wand, and firefly—are detailed miniatures.
