She is dressed in a romantic, pastoral wardrobe designed for a day of gathering herbs. Her dress is a lovely shade of pale lavender, reminiscent of the fragrant fields she calls home, and features delicate hand-embroidered lavender sprigs along the hemline. To protect against the gentle breeze, she wears an intricate cream lace shawl draped elegantly over her shoulders. A floral-style kerchief keeps her head tidy, and she walks comfortably in dark brown clogs. Her accessories complete the story: a bundle of freshly harvested lavender tied with rustic twine, a handmade bar of soap, and a tiny purple butterfly friend who has landed to say hello. This pattern is perfect for intermediate crocheters who enjoy combining amigurumi with detailed garment making and embroidery.

Gauge & Finished Size
Work tightly in continuous spiral rounds for the cow body so the stuffing does not show. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook, the finished cow stands approximately 28 cm (11 inches) tall. The clothing is designed to be removable, allowing for dress-up play.
Construction Overview
The cow is constructed in pieces. The head features a distinct muzzle and color changes (or sewn-on patches) to create the brown spots. The body is pear-shaped with joined legs. The dress is worked from the waist up for the bodice and waist down for the skirt to achieve a nice drape. The lace shawl is worked in rows using a shell stitch pattern. The accessories are miniatures requiring fine detail work.
