Gauge & Finished Size

Work tightly in continuous spiral rounds for the mouse body so the stuffing does not show. Using DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook, the finished mouse stands approximately 26–28 cm (10–11 inches) tall. The dress is removable, and the ruffles are worked directly onto the skirt base.

Construction Overview

The mouse is constructed in the standard amigurumi style. The head features a pointed snout and large, round ears sewn on separately. The legs and body are worked as one piece. The dress is the showstopper: it is worked from the waist up for the bodice and waist down for the skirt foundation. The ombre ruffles are then attached to the front loops of the skirt foundation. Fabric Scissors
