- Pale yellow or off-white (pinafore dress)
- Light green (hat, shoe straps, small leaves)

Optional: small wicker basket prop (or you can crochet your own) to match the photo.
Gauge & Finished Size
- Approximate gauge: 5.5–6 sc = 1″ / 2.5 cm in the round with cream yarn.

Exact gauge is not critical; keep stitches tight so stuffing does not show.
Construction Overview
The bunny is worked from the head down into the body as one piece. Arms, legs, tail, and long ears are crocheted separately and sewn on. Clothing and accessories – pink tee, strawberry pinafore, bucket hat, shoes, strawberry purse, and picnic cloth – are all separate pieces that can be removed and rearranged.
Head & Body (cream – one piece)
Use cream yarn. Stuff firmly as you go.

R29: (3 sc, dec) x 6 (24)
R30: (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)
Stuff the body firmly, especially around the neck so it does not flop.
R31: (sc, dec) x 6 (12)
Add more stuffing if needed.
Fasten off, weave yarn through remaining 12 sts and pull tight to close. Secure and hide the end.
Arms (make 2 – cream)
Stuff lightly; arms should stay soft and flexible.

R2: inc around (12)
R3–R5: sc around (12)
R6: (2 sc, dec) x 3 (9)
R7–R16: sc around (9)
Stuff the lower half of the arm only.
Flatten the opening and work 4–5 sc through both layers to close.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Legs (make 2 – cream)
These will be covered by shoes but need a firm base.
R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
R2: inc around (12)

Tail (cream)
R1: 6 sc in MR (6)

R3: sc around (9)
Stuff lightly.
Fasten off with a long tail and sew on later as a small puff tail.
Long Ears (make 2 – cream)

R4–R6: sc around (12)
R7: (3 sc, inc) x 3 (15)
R8–R18: sc around (15)
Do not stuff; you want soft, bendable ears.
Flatten the opening and sc through both layers across (7–8 sc).
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
With a strand of soft pink yarn, lightly weave and tug along the inner side of the ear to suggest a subtle inner ear color (no need to fill every stitch; just a soft line).
Muzzle & Nose (cream and pink)
Muzzle – cream
R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
R2: (sc, inc) x 3 (9)
R3: (2 sc, inc) x 3 (12)
R4: sc around (12)
Fasten off with a long tail. Lightly stuff when attaching.
Using soft pink yarn, embroider a small oval nose near the top of the muzzle and a short vertical line down. With black or dark brown yarn, embroider a tiny mouth in a neat “Y” shape, very small and centered.
Face Details
- Pin the muzzle centered between the eyes, with the top edge just touching the eye line.
- Sew in place, stuffing gently before closing.
- Using a strand of white yarn or embroidery thread, add a tiny stitch on each eye for a highlight.
Keep the expression gentle and simple, matching the soft look in the photo.

Fasten off and weave in ends.
Bib and Straps
Turn the dress so the front center is facing you. Attach pale yellow yarn at the center front of the yoke (R1–R3 area).
Bib Row 1: ch 1, sc in next 8 sts across center front, turn (8)
Rows 2–5: ch 1, sc in each st, turn (8)
Fasten off.
Straps (make 2):
Attach yarn at the top corner of the bib.
- ch 18 (or adjust for length to reach the back).
- Fasten off, leaving a tail.
Repeat for the other top corner.
Put the dress onto the bunny over the pink tee. Cross the straps at the back and sew the ends to the back yoke so they lie flat, just like the photo.
Strawberry Embroidery on Dress
Using red yarn, embroider small strawberries on the bib and skirt:
- For each strawberry: make a little triangular cluster of satin stitches (about 3–4 sts tall).
- With white yarn, add tiny seed stitches over the red.
- With green yarn, add a few straight stitches at the top for leaves.
Scatter three strawberries on the front bib/skirt and a few small green dots using French knots or tiny straight stitches to match the photo.
Bucket Hat with Daisies (light green)
Use light green yarn.

Fasten off and weave in ends. Slightly roll the edge downward so it frames the bunny’s face.
Tiny Daisies (make 2 – white and yellow)
With yellow yarn:
- Make a French knot or one tiny knot for the center on the hat band.
With white yarn:
- Embroider 5 small petals around each yellow center using straight stitches, forming simple daisies.
Place one daisy on each front side of the hat as in the picture.
Mary Jane Shoes (make 2 – red with tan sole & green strap)
Sole – tan
Ch 8.
R1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc 5, 3 sc in last ch; working on opposite side of chain, sc 5, 2 sc in last ch (15).

Fasten off and weave in.
Strap
Attach green yarn at one side of the shoe opening.
- ch 9–10 (enough to cross over the foot).
- Sl st or sew to the opposite side of the shoe opening to form a strap.
Slide the shoes on after the legs are attached to the body.
Strawberry Purse & Strap
Strawberry (red)
R1: 6 sc in MR (6)

R6: (3 sc, dec) x 3 (12)
R7: (2 sc, dec) x 3 (9)
Stuff lightly; you want it slightly flat.
R8: (sc, dec) x 3 (6)
Fasten off and close. Shape gently into a plump strawberry.
With white yarn, embroider tiny seed stitches all over one side.
Leaves (light and dark green)
With light green:
R1: ch 6. Work along the chain: starting in 2nd ch from hook – sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc.
Fasten off and leave a tail. Make 3–4 of these small leaves and sew them to the top of the strawberry.
Purse Strap
With light brown or gold yarn, ch 65–70 (long enough to go across the bunny’s body diagonally).
Fasten off.
Sew each end of the strap to the top of the strawberry. The purse should hang around hip level when worn crossbody.
Picnic Cloth (red & white)
You can use fabric, but here is a quick crochet version.
With white yarn:
Row 1: ch 19, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (18).
Rows 2–4: ch 1, turn, sc in each st (18).
Change to red.
Rows 5–8: ch 1, turn, sc in each st (18).
Repeat color blocks (4 rows white, 4 rows red) until you have 16 rows total. Fasten off.
Border: attach white at any corner, work sc evenly around with 3 sc in each corner, sl st to first sc. Weave in ends.
You can add simple surface crochet lines in the opposite color to create more of a gingham look if desired.
Assembly
- Attach Legs: Position legs at the bottom of the body so the bunny stands straight. Sew firmly around the closed tops.
- Attach Tail: Sew the small cream tail at the center back just above the legs.
- Attach Arms: Sew arms on each side of the body at about neck/shoulder height. Angle them slightly forward – one can hold the basket, the other lets the purse rest nicely.
- Attach Ears: Sew ears to the top of the head, slightly toward the back so they tilt forward through the hat opening.
- Dress the Bunny: Slip on the pink tee first. Then slide the pinafore up, arrange the skirt evenly, and sew the strap ends at the back.
- Shoes & Accessories: Put on the red Mary Janes. Place the bucket hat over the ears. Hang the strawberry purse crossbody. Add the store-bought (or crocheted) basket to one hand and fold the picnic cloth beside her.
Finishing & Customization
- Adjust strap lengths so the purse and dress sit exactly where you like.
- Vary the number and size of embroidered strawberries or add a tiny strawberry on the hat band.
- Slightly bend the ears to one side for extra personality.
- Use blush or a small amount of soft pink yarn to dab on cheeks.
