Notes & Construction Overview
- The bunny is worked in separate pieces: legs, body, arms, head, ears, and tail, then sewn together.
- Clothing and accessories are knitted separately and remain removable.
- Most shaping uses simple increases and decreases; keep tension tight so stuffing does not show.
- Snowglobes, snowflakes, and tiny details are added with duplicate stitch and simple embroidery after knitting.

Bunny – Tail
With bunny color, CO 8 sts in the round.
Rnd 1: kfb around – 16 sts
Rnd 2–4: k
Rnd 5: k2tog around – 8 sts
Stuff lightly, close as for head. This makes a neat round tail.
Assembly of Bunny
- Sew the head to the top of the body, using the body tail and taking small, neat stitches around the neck edge. Add extra stuffing at the join if needed.
- Position arms slightly below the neckline; sew them firmly in place so they angle slightly forward.
- Attach ears to the top of the head, slightly toward the back, leaving a small curve at the base so they tilt outward.
- Sew the tail to the lower back of the body for balance.
Set the bunny aside while you work on clothing and accessories.

CO 96 sts. Join in the round, PM for beginning.

Back
Work back first in stockinette, straight for 6 rows.

Sew shoulders (about 4 sts each side), leaving a small opening at the back waist to dress the bunny. Add a tiny snap or hook at the back closure if desired.
Snowglobe Motifs
Using white yarn and tapestry needle, embroider small semicircle domes along the hem: outline each snowglobe, add snow dots inside, then stitch a little green tree in one or two globes. Add scattered snow dots and tiny snowflake shapes on the skirt and bodice front.
Cardigan
Worked flat in one piece to the armholes, then separated.
With white (or fuzzy) yarn, CO 40 sts.
Row 1 (WS): k2, p to last 2 sts, k2 (garter front bands).
Row 2: k across.
Repeat these 2 rows until piece measures about 1.75 in (4.5 cm) from CO.
Next RS row (armholes):
K6 (front), k2tog, k4, k2tog, k4, k2tog, k4, k2tog, k6 – 36 sts.
Work 4 more rows in pattern (garter at edges, stockinette body).
Divide for fronts and back:
Left Front: work 8 sts, turn, leave rest on holder.
Work 6 rows, keeping 2 edge sts in garter and rest in stockinette. BO.
Back: rejoin yarn to center 20 sts, work 8 rows in stockinette. BO.
Right Front: work remaining 8 sts as mirror of left.
Sew shoulder seams only. Slip on the bunny; sleeves are created by the open armholes, giving a simple cropped cardigan look. Add a single small embroidered snowflake at center front, or sew a tiny button if you like.
Hat with Pom-pom
With white and smaller needles, CO 64 sts. Join in the round.
Rnd 1–6: k2, p2 rib.
Change to icy blue.
Rnd 7–18: k every rnd.
Rnd 19: (k6, k2tog) around – 56 sts

Rnd 2: (k1, kfb) across – 15 sts

Work 2 more rnds in stockinette.
Next rnd: (k3, k2tog) across – 20 sts
Next rnd: (k2, k2tog) across – 15 sts
Break yarn, draw through sts to snug the shoe around the ankle. Weave in ends.
Duplicate stitch a small snowflake on each toe in white.
Snowglobe Handbag
With icy blue, CO 6 sts. Join in the round.
Rnd 1: kfb around – 12 sts
Rnd 2: (k1, kfb) around – 18 sts
Rnd 3: (k2, kfb) around – 24 sts
Rnd 4–7: k
Rnd 8: (k2, k2tog) around – 18 sts
Rnd 9: (k1, k2tog) around – 12 sts
Cut yarn leaving a long tail. Thread through sts but do not pull tight; instead, leave the top slightly open as a “zipper” line. Stuff lightly to keep it round, then close most of the opening, leaving a small gap if you want the illusion of a working bag.
With white, embroider a half-circle near the base (snow pile) and lots of tiny dots above like falling snow.
For the strap, work an i-cord: CO 3 sts in icy blue, knit i-cord for about 6–7 in (15–18 cm), BO. Sew each end to opposite sides of the bag and across the bunny’s body.
Gift Box Accessory
With light blue, CO 12 sts. Work 12 rows in stockinette. BO. You now have a small square.
Fold into a cube shape, seaming edges as you stuff a little inside to hold its form.
With red, wrap yarn twice vertically and twice horizontally around the cube to mimic ribbon, crossing at the top. Tie a tiny bow and secure with a stitch so the bunny can hold it in one paw.
Candy Cane Accessory
Work a 3-st i-cord about 4 in (10 cm) long, alternating 2 rows white, 2 rows red to create stripes.
When finished, thread the tail through the stitches and pull tight. Bend into a gentle cane shape and secure the curve with a few stitches on the inside. Sew into the other paw so it looks like the bunny is holding the candy cane.
Finishing Touches
- Dress the bunny in the blue dress, fasten at the back.
- Add the cardigan, hat, and shoes.
- Position the snowglobe handbag strap across the body.
- Stitch the gift box to one hand and candy cane to the other, or leave them loose for play.
Fluff the pom-pom, smooth the ears and clothing, and your Snowglobe Holiday Bunny is ready for photos. The soft pastel tones and detailed knit textures look beautiful in natural light and cozy home settings, perfect for showcasing your handmade work.
