Meet Honey Meadow Bunny – a soft cream bunny in a honey-yellow pinafore dress, puff-sleeve blouse, straw-style bucket hat with a tiny bee, brown Mary Jane shoes, and a little picnic basket filled with mini carrots and a croissant.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

Materials
- Light DK / sport weight yarn in:
- Cream (bunny body)
- Honey yellow (dress)
- Soft white/cream (blouse collar & hem)
- Light tan or straw color (hat, basket)
- Warm brown (shoes)
- Dark green (tiny leaves on dress)
- Orange (carrots, croissant shading)
- Black and yellow (tiny bee)
- Crochet hook: 2.25–2.5 mm, or size to get a firm fabric
- Safety eyes: 8 mm black
- Stuffing (polyester fiberfill)
- Tapestry needle for sewing pieces and embroidery
- Stitch markers, pins, scissors
Gauge & Finished Size
Gauge is not critical as long as stitches are tight enough to prevent stuffing from showing.
With DK yarn and a 2.5 mm hook, the bunny will be approximately 20–22 cm (8–9″) tall, including hat.
Notes
- Stuff firmly but not rigidly, especially the head and body, to keep the cute rounded shape.
- Always place increases and decreases evenly around for smooth curves.
- When changing colors, finish the last pull-through of the previous stitch with the new color.
Construction Overview
You will crochet and assemble:
- Bunny – legs, body, head (one piece), arms, ears, and a small tail.
- Outfit – separate pinafore dress, puff-sleeve blouse yoke & collar effect, Mary Jane shoes, and bucket hat.
- Accessories – picnic basket, tiny carrots, mini croissant, and little bee on the hat.
The clothes and accessories are removable (except the blouse puff sleeves illusion, which is part of the dress yoke).

Bodice & “Blouse” Neckline
Using white:

Join Skirt in the Round
With RS facing, reattach honey yarn at one side edge of bodice, ch 1.
R1 (join): sc evenly along bottom edge of bodice, aiming for 30 sc. Join with sl st to first st to form a circle (30). Adjust by adding or skipping 1 st if needed.

Attach white to top neckline edge, working along R1–2 of bodice:
Row: ch 1, (sc, hdc) in first st, 2 dc in next st, (hdc, sc) in next st, sl st in next st) repeat around for a gentle ruffled collar look. Fasten off.
To suggest puff sleeves, with white join yarn at approximately shoulder level on both sides, and work:
On each side:
Row 1: Attach yarn, ch 3, 4 dc in same st, sl st in next st. Fasten off.
This small puff sits over the top of the arm when dress is on.
Dress Straps
With honey yellow, ch 24. Fasten off leaving tails. Make 2 straps.
Sew back ends of straps to top back corners of bodice; cross them and sew front ends just above row where skirt begins, as in a pinafore. Check length on your bunny; adjust chains if needed.

Place croissant and a carrot or two inside the basket.
Assembly
- Attach Arms
- Position arms at the sides of the body, just below the neck (around R27–28 of body).
- Sew them on securely, keeping them slightly angled forward so the bunny can “hold” the basket handle.
- Attach Ears
- Pin ears to the top of the head, slightly towards the back so they lean forward.
- Sew along the flattened base of each ear. Adjust angle to match the photo style (not too floppy, but softly curved).
- Attach Tail
- Sew tail to lower back of body, centered between legs.
- Dress & Shoes
- Put on the dress from the feet upward.
- Close the back with a few discreet stitches or small snaps if you want it removable.
- Cross the straps and sew them in place at the front.
- Add small green leaves and yellow “flower” French knots or tiny embroidered buds on the skirt and front pocket to mimic the floral details.
- Slip the shoes onto the feet and fasten the Mary Jane straps.
- Hat & Basket
- Place hat on the bunny’s head; you can secure it with a few stitches if the doll is for decor only.
- Position the basket so one arm goes through the handle or stitch the handle lightly to the paw to keep it in place.
Finishing & Personalization
- Embroider a tiny blush on the cheeks using a few strands of pale pink yarn or add a bit of soft fabric paint.
- Adjust the tilt of the hat and the angle of the ears to give your bunny its own personality.
- You can vary the flower embroidery on the dress pocket and hem to create multiple “Honey Meadow Bunnies” each with unique floral motifs.
