Introduction
Say hello to the Farmer’s Market Piglet: a pastel, 100%-crochet pig dressed in a red-and-white striped tee, mint culotte shorts, cream slip-on shoes with a thin red piping, and a raffia-look sun hat. The star accessory is a strawberry-shaped crossbody tote with tiny seed bumps and leafy flap. This original pattern is written from scratch to match the photo look exactly so your finished piece turns out the same.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

Assembly & Dressing Order
- Put on striped tee first.
- Slide on culotte shorts; make sure the hem sits below the knee line.
- Attach arms if you left them off for dressing; angle slightly forward.
- Put on shoes; confirm the red piping faces outward neatly.
- Place sun hat low over the forehead; tack under brim at two points so ears peek out.
- Hang the strawberry bag from left shoulder to right hip.
Blocking, Styling & Care
- Light steam (hover only) to relax the hat brim and straighten culotte hems.
- Shape snout gently while warm to keep it round.
- Spot clean with a damp cloth; air dry.
- For standing photos on a wooden table, lean the piglet lightly against a crate or fruit basket.
Troubleshooting
- Head wobble: Crochet a short neck peg (6 sc around × 4–5 rnds) and stitch between head and body.
- Tee tight at underarm: add +1 ch at each underarm when dividing and pick up an extra st on the next round.
- Brim flips up: add one more increase round before Rnd 15 or block lightly with steam.
- Shorts ride low: increase waistband chain by +2 and keep leg splits equal halves of total count.
