Introduction
Meet the Campfire Story Bear: a cozy amigurumi dressed for golden-hour camping. He wears camel cuffed chinos, a tartan “flannel” shirt, gray trail sneakers, and an olive bucket hat. A roll-top backpack completes the look, plus a tiny marshmallow-on-a-stick and a flickering yarn campfire for photos.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

Assembly & Dressing Order
- Put on chinos first; roll cuffs.
- Dress the shirt, fold collar, roll sleeves once.
- Attach arms (if you waited) angled slightly forward; stitch the stick to right hand.
- Put on sneakers and embroider laces.
- Place bucket hat low on the head; push ears slightly under brim and tack.
- Add backpack; straps over shoulders and anchored near waist.
- Set up the campfire beside the bear for photos.
Blocking, Styling & Care
- Steam lightly (no touching iron to cotton) to set the hat brim and shirt collar.
- Shape the chin and muzzle with your fingers while cooling for a friendly profile.
- Spot clean; avoid machine wash (small accessories).
- For upright sitting poses, place a tiny flat pebble of stuffing inside the shoe toe and lean bear against a log prop.
Troubleshooting
- Head wobble: Crochet a short neck peg (6 sc around × 4 rounds) and stitch between head and body.
- Plaid puckers: When carrying colors, keep floats relaxed; block gently to settle.
- Pants rise too low/high: Adjust waistband chain by ±2; maintain even counts for leg split (half the waist count for each leg).
- Hat too tight/loose: Add or remove one increase round before the side wall, or swap brim hook size.
